Heiaus (temple ruins)

On Saturday we decided we needed a break from working so much. The past few weekends we have been busy getting the house put together. So, we headed out to some temple ruins out near Waimea Bay. It was quite a bumpy road getting up there, but well worth it. As you can see in the pics the view of the Bay was gorgeous. There were a few trails going out from the ruins. They went up and down the mountainside. Locals still come out there and leave fresh flower leis and various trinkets under a tree. It was very beautiful and interesting.
