Rock Band Fun

The "kids" really enjoy playing Rock Band! Ha! We call it family time! We put it on no fail and they go to town! It makes for a great laugh!

AAAHHH!

Well, this has been a very long week for us. I am behind on EVERYTHING! This simple sinus infection that was not treated early on has progressed into a respiratory infection with asthma complications. Doc told me to go to the ER on Friday afternoon for some testing to rule out anything major such as blood clots, heart problems, etc. Got there Friday around 12 and they ended up admitting me. No fun. After many pokes, prods, EKG, and breathing treatments all was well. I got to go home Sat morning just in time for our good friends from Hawaii to arrive in town. They live in AL now and we were so blessed to be able to see them. They have a four year old boy who Rhett LOVES! Their daughter is 6 months younger than Bailey and they are precious together! Two girlie girls. Unfortunately I started feeling REALLY bad Sun afternoon. Doc said to come back and have a blood gas test and CAT scan. No fun again! My blood gases were WAY off from normal. I was hyperventilating! Woo hoo! Anyway, got to feeling better and the CAT scan came back clean. So clean bill of health. Turns out I have a severe reaction to albuterol and prednisone. Though I have to take these things to regulate my asthma, they really mess up my breathing and I hyperventilate. My heart races with the albuterol and prednisone and I cannot breathe accordingly. Anyway, I hope I NEVER have to experience this again. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!! I still have 4 more days of antibiotics and lots of prednisone left. I say lets get through this and MOVE ON!!!!! I have things to do! I will catch up on pictures and postings as soon as I can. Of course, all of this happens during our first few weeks of school. We will catch up soon enough. The garden is HUGE now. The cucumbers are going nuts. I will post pics soon. Until then...........have a blessed day!

Upward Soccer

Today was Rhett's first actual soccer practice. The first one was drafts. The second one got rained out. This one they got to practice. It is a good thing because they have a game Saturday! They did a little last minute scrimage and Rhett was the goalie. He really liked it and he did a great job. He stopped the ball! Yay! The game should be interesting. These are 4 year olds who have had 10 minutes playing time (in practice). Will update again Sat!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a quieter Labor Day weekend than we had expected. Last week the kids and I got sick with a nasty cold. It is still lingering. We had hoped to have friends over and cook a lot of food. We ended up keeping ourselves contained a bit. Though we got to watc a LOT of GREAT football. The official start of fall! We started off the season watching Navy give Ohio State a run for their money. Then Ole Miss tore up Memphis. It was a great football weekend. We ventured out for some short trips. Our sofa is officially worn out. We have been on the search for a new one. The search ended yesterday. I hope it looks good in the house! Big purchases like this are always difficult for me. Especially when it comes to something in my house. I hope it goes nice with everything else we have! Yesterday we went to Kingsland, GA for the Catfish Festival. It was a great time. We watched the parade. Then we headed to the booths and on to some Catfish. Rhett and Bailey did not eat much catfish. Though they BOTH chowed down on some fried gator! It was a beautiful day to be out. Rhett came home with a handmade wooden sword and shield. Bailey returned with a pony on wheels that she pulls. That is what is in these pictures. We got so many laughs with her pulling that stinkin pony around. She held it in her lap the entire ride home. Then she took it on a walk when we got home too! Unfortunately we left the camera in the van during the festival so no pictures. Oh well!

Today (tuesday) is our first day of school! Both kids are excited! We will have a fun day and learn lots. Have a blessed week!
