This weekend we found a really cool place on the windward side. It is called Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens. For those of you who do not know Hawaii it is much greener ovr there. That is the side of the island that gets more rain. The gardens are 152 acres of trails and open areas and a pond. We got bamboo poles and fished in the pond. Rhett even caught a fish! There were ducks everywhere and the kids got to feed them too. Bailey really liked the ducks. She is on a kick of birds and ducks. After a little fishing we had a picnic lunch by the lake. After lunch we hit the trails. The trails were very simple ones which was great for the kids. Bailey actually slept in the stroller. (that tells you how easy the trails were) With the exception of some bumps it was a pretty easy ride! This place was a great find and a real gem here.
